How nice that you found us! 🙂 We are three sisters who, together with our parents (Gerti and Hans) and 25 supernice employees run our Hotel Petrus in Brunico at the Plan de Corones / Kronplatz near the Dolomites.

We are a great team and we three sisters grew up here in the hotel. The “guest- pampering” therefore is in our blood and we do everything to ensure that our guests have a momorable stay with us.

FAMILY SUITE TAL
The family suite TAL with 31 m ² is perfect for families who like to sleep in a room but want to close the door to the children’s bedroom.

The suite consists of a large sleeping-living room for the parents with a comfortable sitting area, a children’s room with two separate beds and a shared bathroom. From both bedrooms you can reach the balcony from where you have a great view of the valley and Riscone.

SUITE KRONPLATZ
The Suite Kronplatz has about 34m² and is located on the first or second floor with a great balcony towards the garden. The bedroom can be separated with a sliding door from the living room.

From the bed you have a wonderful view of the Plan de Corones with afternoon sun. The living room can accommodate up to two more people. The bathroom is equipped with a spacious shower and toilet.

SUITE HIMMELREICH WITH JACUZZI
The panorama suite is one of our most beautiful suites with approx. 60 m². The suite with the outdoor whirlpool is located on the third floor and is placed so that it is sunbathing from morning to night. From the large balcony, you have a great panoramic view of the garden and Plan de Corones.

On the balcony is also the outdoor whirlpool tub. The bedroom has a view towards the village and is separated from the living room. In the dressing room you have plenty of space to accommodate your belongings. The bathroom has a massage shower and a separate WC with bidet.

SPA SUITE HERNEGG
The spa suite HERNEGG is one of our favorite suites. It is about 60m ² and has a large roof terrace with beautiful views to our garden and the Kronplatz/Plan de Corones. It has morning and afternoon sun.

The bedroom has direct access to the terrace and from the bed you have a great view to the Plan de Corones. In the living room there is a large cuddly couch and a reading berth right by the window. The highlight of this suite is the bathroom: bathtub with view, shower, infrared sauna, double sink, separate toilet with bidet.

DOUBLE ROOM PAULUS
The double room PAULUS with 37m² is located in the first and second floor. The sun shines into the room the whole day. The living room and bedroom with plenty of wood and bright fabrics can accommodate up to 4 people.

The walk-in closet has plenty of room to accommodate your belongings. The spacious half-open bathroom consists of a rain shower and a separate toilet with bidet.

DINING
Coming together at the table as a family, talking to each other and enjoying the food has always been important to us. Therefore the kitchen is nothing less than the heart of our house.

Our kitchen team takes our guests on a culinary journey through South Tyrol. It leads up to the mountains, down to the water, into a world of contrasts.

As quality is very important to us we grow fruit and vegetables ourselves and we rely on organic products from small local producers and suppliers. We like it natural, regional and honest. A cuisine in which the ingredients are the focus. Just like our guests.

PETRUS SOUL FOOD
Our chefs takes you on a culinary trip through South Tyrol. We love good food and that is not the only reason why the quality of the products that are processed in the kitchen is so important to us.

We believe in natural, straightforward and regional cuisine. There is always the natural flavour of the ingredients at the fore. This is honest cooking at its best – and tastes incredibly good!

BREAKFAST
Fresh bread from the village bakery, homemade jams, cheese and ham from local producers, artisanal yoghurt, fruit, cakes, croissants, butter, cream cheese and homemade Bircher muesli or one of Claudia’s delicious egg dishes.

All this servd on your breakfast table together with a good italian cappuccino. The perfect start into the day. By the way: We’ll be there until 10.30 a.m. After all, we also have a heart for our late risers.

AFTERNOON SNACK
The Marende – an afternoon snack – is still today an important part of a successfull day on a South Tyrolean farm. Thats why we also offer our guests from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. a small afternoon snack.

You can choose between delicious salads, a soup and a delicious piece of cake (and sometimes you will also find some additional surprises). Just to fill that peckish with a small snack between meals

5 COURSE GOURMET MENU
Time for enjoyment: for us of the Aichner family, salad is part of every meal. Preferably in a large salad bowl, from which everyone at the table can serve themselves freely.

This is why at the start of every dinner we place a bowl of salad in the center of each table. That is the red or better green thread of our 5-course menu that best describes one word: varied (and also adapted to the special needs of our guests).

GLUTEN FREE
In 2002 Nadine and her parents went on vacation with us. She had been diagnosed with celiac disease shortly before. To give the family a relaxing holiday, we cooked gluten-free for the first time – or did what we understood by that.

What began slowly is now a matter of course for us. Our own oven, our own cold room, our own warehouse, no knife point may touch the wrong product – we know how important all of this is. In our kitchen we have therefore included the “Zöllis” in our concept.

We are rewarded with smiling faces when the fresh gluten-free bread is at the breakfast table or the gourmet menu is waiting. And then our gluten-free apple strudel …

Our kitchen team with sous chef Daniela Auer are also true professionals when it comes to gluten-free cuisine. And other intolerances, such as lactose intolerance, are no stranger to us.

Our guests with gluten intolerance can easily switch to vacation mode and follow the parsley. It identifies all dishes that can do without the gluten.

STRAIGHT FROM THE GARDEN
Of course, we could place an order every day and have the ingredients delivered to us. But we want to offer our guests the food that we ourselves love most. Fresh, regional, healthy and made by hand. Many of the ingredients used in our kitchen come from our vegetable garden at the Lechnerhof.

It is Hans’s realm. Here he proves day after day that he has a knack for plants. When the last snow is gone, the first herbs break through the earth and it turns green. Then come spinach and radishes and delicious salads. In summer in fact we only get our salad from the Lechnerhof.

But what would be the best ingredients if you didn’t make anything out of them? Our kitchen team not only process our fruit and vegetables, but also bake bread and cakes, knead pasta dough and prepare vinegar.

The interaction between the garden and the kitchen works so well because Hans is in constant contact with the kitchen team. “I tell what is growing and they tell me what they will need next.” A functioning cycle can be that simple.

By the way: Hans shows our guests the vegetable garden once a week in summer. Bet that it will taste even better in the evening?

WINES
And we definitely will find the right way to make the soul feel so well! Because in addition to sports activities, massages and delicious food, there are also the best South Tyrolean wines and craft beer varieties in our house!

Sitting in our wonderful garden on a lovely, balmy summer evening looking out over the meadows and high up to the Kronplatz, with a glass of South Tyrolean Gewurztraminer in the hand – that’s simply an indescribable feeling.

With its fruity character and its golden yellow tones, it seems to blend in with the surrounding landscapes. You will have the sense that the South Tyrolean summer is both on your tongue and right before your eyes …

For the winter I would recommend a Lagrein Riserva red wine, aged in wooden barrels and with spicy notes of cocoa and vanilla, chocolate and prunella. In my opinion, there’s no better place to enjoy it than next to the fire place at our hotelbar.

Actually, South Tyrol is a relatively small wine-growing region, but we have a unique variety! 20 different grape varieties grow on only 5400 h growing area. We love white wine! Especially from the Eisacktal! But who can argue against a glass of Lagrein Riserva?

Our sommelier Brigitte knows the South Tyrolean wines very well and recommends a suitable wine! The wine comes well tempered directly from our walk-in wine cabinet in our bar.

Vicky, our certified beer expert
Who says that you can drink only wine to a gourmet dinner? These days there are so many different craft beer breweries in South Tyrol that our Chef de Rang Vicky has trained as a certified beer expert.

Therefore our craft beer offer has increased and now we offer some very interesting beers at our Restaurant and Bar! In addition to the history of beer, Vicky now tells our guests about the different techniques of brewing and storage and beer care

BREAKFAST ON TERRACE
Enjoy breakfast with a cup of coffee on the terrace and let the sun warm you … We couldn’t imagine a better start to the day. Our late risers already know when the temperatures are most comfortable.

This of course also applies to dinner, which spreads this all-round feeling of wellbeing with a good glass of wine on mild summer nights. We also like to eat outside ourselves. This is what a summer holiday in South Tyrol looks like with us.

THE DAHOAME SPA
Others travel half the country to find what we have right around the corner: Our spa area uses only the best things nature has to offer. We are surrounded by beautiful forests, and especially Swiss pine—known to us Val Pusteria folks as Zirm, from the German “Zirbe”—does wonders for your health.

Swiss pine has a calming effect on your circulation and lowers your heart rate; the pleasant scent relaxes your whole body and stays with you in the entire Dahòame spa.

THE POOL AREA
Age and gravity are washed away in the water. Water calms us down, it revitalises us, and we move almost effortlessly.

In short: Most people feel as right as rain in the water. That is why we designed our pool area in a way that invites our guests to linger: No stark public-pool aesthetics, but instead a feel-good place, XXL couch included.

Our 25-metre pool is a pleasant 30 °C warm. Half of the pool is indoor, half is outdoor. You can swim laps at leisure—the hot water steams delightfully in winter as soon as you use the outside area. And in summer, you can take in the sun while staying nice and cool.

Or you can (literally) give our relaxation pool (35 °C) a whirl and feel the kinks slowly disappear. There are few things that beat relaxing on a couch, so we have a very special one: Our XXL couch runs the entire length of the pool and is therefore both inside and outside.

You can curl up with a good book, listen to music, take a nap, or simply relax and unwind, whatever feels right for you: Our couch will concur.

SAUNAS
Is there anything more relaxing than taking some time out in the sauna after a long day spent outdoors? It has been proved that the elevated temperature encourages blood flow and revives the muscles.

We have five different saunas and steam baths in our spa area: The Wood sauna “Wald”is our largest sauna, and its 85 °C are sure to make you sweat. The Barn sauna “Stadl”, too, heats up to 85 °C. We used untreated barn wood to build it.

If the Finnish saunas are too hot for you, you can go to the Fiori sudatory (65 °C) instead. You may have guessed from the name that flowers play a role in the Fiori sauna, and not just any old flowers: The rose petals and herbs have been plucked at our Lechnerhof, of course, and fill the sauna with a particularly lovely scent.

The brine steam bath “Sole”(45 °C) with mountain salt is particularly good for your airways, and our“Bio”sauna is a textile sauna, which means that children are allowed and users may wear a bikini or swimming trunks: It is located in the pool area outside of the sauna area.

THE REST AREAS
There are different rest areas in our Dahòame spa where you can feel the power of nature. The Lana relaxation room introduces our guests to the positive effect of wool, which is found here in combination with peat, willow bark, Swiss pine shavings, linen, and medicinal herbs.

Our Hay Barn will give you the true hay experience, whereas the health-enhancing properties of Swiss pine wood are put to good use in the Cirmolo room. Swiss pine is the ideal wood for a relaxation room: You can breathe in the scent and come to rest while lying on a water bed.

The ergonomic day beds in the Cubus room are ideal for reading and relaxing. But the real kicker is that the soles of your feet are massaged with cherry stones on the reflexology bench.

If you want to feel like floating on clouds, you should retreat to the White Room: With no distraction whatsoever, it is the ideal place to read and chill out.

SPA & BEAUTY
Longing for something to caress your body and soul? Then treat yourself to a wonderfully relaxing massage. Whether you want to have your entire body worked on, special attention paid to your back or your feet, or feel the soothing power of hot stones: We are sure to have an offer that suits you.

Our special recommendation for couples: the private spa at the Rasul bath, an oriental spa treatment with medicinal mud and a steam bath. Our guests can take a break from everyday life, taking a bath with honey or rock oil and marvelling at their soft and fragrant skin afterwards.

And if you feel like helping your body purge itself, you will appreciate a detox treatment. Of course, a deeply relaxed body and soul are best complemented by a well-groomed appearance. Therefore we also offer all the beauty treatment classics like manicures, pedicures, and facials.

THE GYM
You won’t just train in a beautiful environment, but also use aesthetically pleasing equipment. The equipment in our Wood & Water Gym is not just elegant and mainly made from wood, it also runs on water resistance.

Wait, what? It means you’ll be using your muscular strength against the resistance of the water, and the difficulty level of the exercise is entirely up to you.

The rowing machine improves your strength and stamina: A slow pull will meet with only low resistance, but as you increase traction speed, resistance can grow quite high. Rowing is a very efficient full-body workout that uses about 85 % of your muscles!

The grinder is for upper-body workout; you can set your desired weights and water resistance at the training station. Dumbbell swing exercises encourage momentum and elasticity, keeping your connective tissue intact.

As for the wall bars: You can stretch your body, do chin-ups, or perform hanging and swinging exercises. You’ll be amazed at the versatility of this retro tool.

GOLF IN SOUTH TYROL
For years (who are we kidding: for decades!) we have been running a golfing fever It all started with Papa Hans, who is a founding member of the nearby Golfclub Pustertal. Christina has inherited the golfing gene: A passionate golfer, she even played a hole-in-one at her very first tournament!

The golf shuttle awaits outside our hotel to take our guests to the golf club. It is a mere kilometre away. There on the nine-hole course you can improve your swing and enjoy the view—but don’t forget to keep your eyes on the ball!

At the golf school you can get your licence to play or improve your handicap. We also offer special holiday flat rates for beginners and pros. Still looking for a golfing partner?

We’ll be happy to play a round with you. Don’t be shy and ask us! And if you score a birdie, it goes without saying that we’ll treat you to our apéritif of the same name to celebrate!

TENNIS
Novice tennis players know all to well how hard it is to keep a tennis ball in the game. But once you’ve understood the way it springs and bounces, you’ll be, well, having a ball playing this serve-and-return game, no matter how old you are.

As an additional perk, tennis improves your flexibility and speed, exercises many different muscle groups, and makes you really agile. Beginners and pros alike will find what they need—only 800 metres away from the hotel.

Certified coaches from the Riscone sports facilities will compile an individual programme for you on request, and of course, you can rent a racquet.

The game itself is played on six well-prepared clay courts in the countryside. Add in the pleasant temperature and the panoramic mountain view … training this backhand of yours has never been more scenic!

MOUNTAIN BIKE
We South Tyroleans love to bike! Actually we not only climb mountains and peaks by our foot but also by bike. Since we have E-Mountainbikes at our Hotel, mountainbiking has become a great passion of Hans. No matter which bike – mountainbike or E-Bike – there are plenty of beautiful tours in our neighborhood.

HIKING
Bizarre rock formations, deep blue mountain lakes, lush green alpine pastures with cows grazing peacefully, and quaint, rustic huts serving home-made mezzelune: Sounds like pure unadulterated kitsch, doesn’t it? But what can we say?

It really looks like that around here! If you’re a fresh air fiend, you have come to the right place: You can set out directly from the hotel, with seven valleys within easy reach. We have quite a passion for hiking ourselves and are often to be found outdoors.

We know the area like the backs of our hands. You would like a tour around the Tre Cime, but you don’t want to end up in the middle of a flock of a hundred tourists taking the same route? You feel like you must burn off all that energy on a multiple-hour hike?

Or perhaps you want to take your family to a quiet alpine pasture and have a traditional home-cooked South Tyrolean meal? We are there to help you plan your individual trips and tours, and we may even share an insider tip or two with you.

Or you can simply come with us: We offer diverse guided hiking tours Monday through Friday!

WEEKLY SUMMER PROGRAM
In the summer we have a lot going on. We offer daily guided hikes, from sunrise to summit tours, rafting with our guests, cycling trips and daily a great program for the kids.

And culinary, there are of course some highlights planned during the week! Here is just a small excerpt of what you can experience during a stay in the summer with us.

CYCLING
Across country, on gravel roads and single trails, through the woods and past the lakes and waterfalls: Val Pusteria offers many diverse tours for both mountain and leisure bikers. Our guests can bring their own bikes and put them in the sports room.

That room is under video surveillance and can only be accessed with a hotel key card. There is even a dedicated washing bay for your bike, and if anything is wrong, we will be sure to have the right tools to fix it. In a nutshell: your bike will lack for nothing here.

But of course, we also have rental mountain bikes at the Hotel Petrus. And if you want to take it a bit slower on your holiday but not go without any biking at all, we have a motorised option, too: Our e-bikes will take you up the mountain at perfect ease.

You can search the internet for a good tour. Or you can simply come to the reception desk and ask us. We know all the best routes for families, leisure bikers, and adrenaline junkies.

YOGA ON THE DOLOMITES
To clear up one thing once and for all: It’s not true that yoga doesn’t make you sweat. And if yoga makes you think of omms, breathing exercises, and incense sticks, you may not be entirely wrong, but you’re not exactly right, either.

Yoga is a perfect way to find balance for people who are under a lot of stress and never seem to be able to just sit back and relax. Yoga gives you toned muscles, high flexibility, and—last but not least—a good physical feeling.

Our yoga instructor will help you find your balance with physical and breathing exercises. We offer yoga classes once a week in winter and twice a week in summer in the White Room (Weißer Raum), which sports a view that helps you relax even more.

PARAGLIDING ON THE DOLOMITES
You can explore the Pale Mountains with their crystal-clear lakes, lush green alpine pastures, and peacefully grazing cows on foot—or you can take a leap and view the idyllic landscape from an entirely different angle: from high above.

The area at the foot of the Plan de Corones is very popular with paragliders. Summer or winter, our local skiing mountain always offers some action: Our paragliding experts accompany high flyers of all ages on breathtaking tandem flights through the air.

The starting point is 2,275 metres high: Thanks to its location, the Plan de Corones offers a spectacular 360-degree view of the Dolomites and the Zillertal Alps. On a clear day, you can even see the Tre Cime from above.

You’ll touch down directly behind our house. Danni knows all about that, of course. A memory stick with photos from the flight is prepared for every daredevil. Not that they would need pictures to remind them.

RAFTING ON DOLOMITES
You are not afraid to get wet and are looking for a thrill ride? Our rafting tours for adventure-seekers are an exciting mixture of frothy whitewater and calm floating. In summer, we are offering these fun tours every week.

Anyone who can swim and is five years and over can join. All you need for a rafting tour is swimwear, a towel, and a healthy thirst for adventure.

Our certified rafting guides provide the rest of the equipment to make sure we are safe: whitewater craft, paddles, wetsuits, shoes, helmets, and life jackets. There are tours for all tastes and difficulty levels. Well? Unleash the waters!

SKIING ON THE DOLOMITES
Our passion for skiing must be genetic. Maybe it’s because we grew up right next to the Plan de Corones. We are quite proud of our local mountain. After all, it is one of the most popular winter sports resorts in South Tyrol! And why is that?

It’s because of what it offers for winter sports enthusiasts: state-of-the-art uphill transport systems, 119 kilometres of piste, and a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Dolomites and the Zillertal Alps. Our guests can join Papa Hans and break the crust of the still-untouched snow on the slopes—all before breakfast.

And on skiing day with Mama Gerti, you won’t just practice how to wedel but also make the mandatory stop at the bar during or after skiing. Our shuttle service will take you to the slopes in the morning and pick you up when you’re done.

It can’t get any more convenient than that. And because we want our guests to spend as much time as they can on the ski slopes and not waiting in the queue, you can get your ski pass at our reception desk. Of course, we also rent out ski and equipment.

We always have the latest models available, tested thoroughly by Hans. Our overnight ski service makes sure that not only the ski slopes but the skiers and their equipment, too, are well-prepared in the morning.

DOLOMITI SUPERSKI
Bizzare white-gray rugged ridges and rock faces that stretch 3,342 metres into the sky – that’s the Dolomites. Winter transforms this unique World Heritage site into an incomparable and top class skiing paradise.

This worldwide unique area covers more than 1,200 kilometres of slopes and 12 different ski regions! The great thing is, you only need one ski pass, the Dolomiti Superski ski pass, to enjoy your adventure stretching out across the province of South Tyrol, Trentino and Belluno.

WALKING ON THE DOLOMITES
Hiking is fun, not only in summer, but also in winter. When everything is covered by a soft, thick blanket of snow, the atmosphere becomes very precious, and even sounds are softened by the white mass.

The air is clean and crisp, snow crunches underfoot, the woods and meadows are quiet and peaceful—don’t you feel like going out right this second? There are several routes of various levels of difficulty starting right at the hotel.

If you want to explore the valleys in the area, you are going to be spoilt for choice: There are seven different valleys within easy reach. You definitely should not miss out on our torch-lit evening walk led by Gerti: the magic will linger long after your holiday is over.

Children and adults alike will love the walk across snowy meadows to Riscone. And once a week you can go with Claudia on a sporty hiking and sledding tour. So put on your warm clothes and let’s go!

SLEDDING
Why is sledding such a popular sport in South Tyrol? Because few things compare to the rush of racing down a natural luge track in a one- or two-person sled! Our guests can rent sleds from us and get started immediately: There is a small luge track just behind the hotel.

We are not above getting on those little racers ourselves from time to time, and there are numerous tracks in the vicinity that cater to all levels, from beginners to pros.

And they even come with a wonderful view and hearty meals in rustic huts. It is entirely up to you whether you want to ascend on foot or by cable car: both are possible. Shall we go?

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
Cross-country skiing is one of the best ways to enjoy winter in South Tyrol. Whether you prefer the classic style, the skating style, are an expert or an amateur athlete: South Tyrol offers the perfect conditions for cross-country skiers.

There are the famous competition places such as Antholz but also romantic valleys and high cross-country ski trails with panoramic views all within easy reach of our Hotel Petrus.

SNOWSHOEING
When a thick white blanket is spread over the landscape, we simply put our snowshoes on and walk happily over the snow. Walking on broad soles is by no means a passing fad, as evidenced by a discovery in the Ötztal Alps: In 2003, a snowshoe was found there that was even older than “Ötzi”!

There are a few possible routes for snowshoeing starting directly at the hotel, but the neighbouring valleys are even more beautiful. The possibilities for every taste are endless—and just a short drive away.

Some tours are perfect for people in good physical form with strong leg muscles; others are appropriate for those who do not exactly strive for maximum athletic performance on their holiday

SKI HUTS AT PLAN DE CORONES
We think that a good aperitif and good food is part of a ski holiday! At Kronplatz / Plan de Corones there are about 40 different huts: from rustic, traditional to modern… Everyone will find their favorite hut.

Lorenzi: Homemade!
The hut is located near the Arndt Lift (23) and it’s known for its home-made bread, pasta and the delicious desserts. The Meat from the on-site farm ist the highlight of the menu. Especially nice is the cozy “Stube”!

Ücia Picco Pre: Glutenfree
Directly at the slope Pre da Peres (32) just above the Furkel pass on the Plan de Corones the Ücia Picio Pre is a popular place for winter sports enthusiasts. As a Slow Food member, the family business has fully promised its mission statement and was also the first hut in Italy’s Celiac Association.

Geiselsberger hut: like ice in the sunshine
In the midst of the easy plateau slope, the always well-visited hut is also easily accessible for winter sports beginners. The good à la carte cuisine and the panorama on the sun terrace makes it a favorite hut for locals. Some days they even have live music… it could not be better!

Ücia Bivacco
The Ücia Bivacco is located above the Furkelpasses. With the massive totem pole on the terrace, the Western-style cabin is easy to spot. Potatoes, spareribs and corn from the charcoal grill are prepared in Western style. She is also notorious for the good drinks and the sunshine and this view … wow!

Oberegger Alm
Dining in an old listed farmhouse from the 16th Century, in a room with original wood paneling and a cozy farm stove or on the rustic cozy sun terrace – this alone is worth a visit.

The high-quality gastronomy concept completes the pleasure factor even further. The menu includes homemade dishes made from local produce, preferably from the own farm.
