Whether a classic Wiener Schnitzel from our bistro menu, a 6-course gourmet daily menu or in our 2 toque restaurant Esskultur, we will fulfill all your culinary wishes in our down-to-earth dining room. Open to all kinds of tastes, food from the Alpine region is always the main ingredient.
Back then, head chef Sebastian Jöchl learned the cooking trade with us at the Geniesserhotel Unterlechner right from the start with a double apprenticeship.
He then went on a voyage of discovery: His stations were renowned gourmet hotels such as the Relais & Châteaux Tennerhof in Kitzbühel, the Geniesserhotel Schalber or the Quellenhof. Today he is 28 years old, returning to his roots and coming home to stay. We look forward to spoiling you!

You tell us what you want and we’ll bring it to you. We offer you a very special service and also set an example of sustainability. What makes us very proud? Since switching to our breakfast etagere and the evening salad bowls, we have had to dispose of 75% less valuable food!
WINE CULTURE & DRINKING CULTURE
Anyone who appreciates good wine is in the right place at the Geniesserhotel Unterlechner. Because the wine culture here in the house is not only lived, but really loved! Or should we perhaps say: RIEDELrecht?! Good wine needs the right glass, and for Christian Unterlechner there is only one choice: hand-blown Riedel glasses from Kufstein.
On our wine list you will find a vintage depth of over 350 wines from young, cool newcomers to the wine scene and of course the top companies that have dominated for decades and have made our small wine-growing region what it is today, namely world class.
When it comes to cocktails, too, we are constantly developing new signature cocktails & drinks, presenting hand-picked treasures of spirits for you and drawing an arc of tension from the all-time classics of bar culture to contemporary interpretations and innovative creations with top local products, local scents and tastes simply #brutalregional.
When it comes to the selection of drinks, we also rely primarily on local tastes: whether it’s “beer from here”, “Tirola Kola”, “Tyrolean mountain apple juices” – everything is individually selected by us and served with a lot of love.

The probability that there will be enough snow in the Pillerseetal during the cold season is almost 100% – and winter sports enthusiasts in particular appreciate that. It is not for nothing that it is also called the snowiest region in Tyrol!
In winter, the region around our Hotel Unterlechner is transformed into a true winter wonderland. Would you also like to jump from the balcony into the 2.5 m high snow? No problem, we’ll show you how it’s done!
And of course the summer in our homeland has a lot to offer: Look forward to numerous hiking trails, breathtaking mountain panoramas, streams and colorful meadows. A picnic on the alp? A bike ride to the emerald green Pillersee?

Free maps, but above all our local tips and our insider knowledge will help you plan your route. The most beautiful highlights are right at your feet in front of Hotel Unterlechner. With up to 15 golf courses in the immediate vicinity, golf enthusiasts are guaranteed to hit the spot.
When the sun is shining, it’s really difficult to take it easy in the Pillerseetal. If it gets too hot for all the activities, you can take a dip in the crystal-clear natural and mountain lakes. Pure refreshment!
WINTER
When the sun slowly loses its power, the days get shorter again and the leaves fall from the trees, then the anticipation of the snow-white winter wonderland begins in the Pillerseetal. For winter lovers and fans of the white splendor, there are now endless possibilities for activities.
The Hotel Unterlechner is located directly on the slopes and cross-country ski run in the snowiest region of Tyrol! Next to our local mountain, the Buchensteinwand, you can reach the valley station quickly and comfortably.
A true snow paradise for cross-country skiing fans! The nearby and largest ski area in Austria provides more hustle and bustle: Saalbach Hinterglemm. Fun and action at its finest!
In the section of one of the largest ski areas in the world – the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang – Fieberbrunn – snow freaks get their money’s worth on 270 kilometers of slopes and off-piste skiers on deep snow freeride slopes.
More than 60 cozy ski huts, numerous snow parks, freeride parks, snow trails and the action-packed Timoks Coaster make your stay really exciting. If you are looking for fun off the slopes in deep snow, you will definitely find it in the snowiest region of Tyrol.
“Easy up – wild down” is the motto in the freeride Mecca of the Alps, where the emerging freeride scene discovered the exposed flanks of the Wildseeloder years ago. With the help of the 70 cable cars and lifts, or sometimes a short hike, it is very easy to advance into unsecured and uncontrolled terrain in the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm – Leogang – Fieberbrunn.
