A truly iconic symbol of the French Riviera dating back to the Belle Epoque, La Réserve de Beaulieu is told as one of the most fascinating stories in a magical setting. Before being the favorite destination of the wealthy and the most-celebrated artists, this amazing estate in Beaulieu sur Mer was formerly a seafood and fish restaurant.
In 1880, Pierre Lottier, a restaurateur from Nice, decided to invest in the site at Beaulieu sur Mer and open a building named La Réserve. This name refers to the large basin dug by the restaurant for storing the catches from local fishermen.
La Réserve became the gastronomic destination of the French Riviera, ensuring its guests a peaceful setting and high-quality cuisine. In 1905, La Réserve de Beaulieu was then expanded to include luxury rooms to become the privileged destination for the world’s elite to meet in a luxurious place.
La Réserve included Music Hall celebrities such as Mistinguett as well as big names from the American press. Among them, journalist and motorsports patron Gordon Bennett, who would be a constant source of praise for La Réserve through his newspaper, the New York Herald.
He had the first private telephone installed in the establishment and contributed to the roadway infrastructure in order to facilitate the arrival of customers to the estate. La Réserve pays homage to this legendary character by naming one of the most emblematic rooms in the place after him: the Gordon Bennett Bar.
Since 1997, the premises have been under the direction of the Delion Family, who continue to give La Réserve its excellent reputation. They’re committed to ensuring that their pink palace continues on as the epitome of luxury and prestige.

The “Villa Mintinguett”
An exceptional and intimate villa with a private terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. To pay tribute to one of its most charismatic and iconic guests, La Réserve has named its most exceptional suite after a Music Hall star from the 1920’s: Mistinguette.
A truly extraordinary 120 m² suite, the Villa Mintinguette, adjacent to the hotel, has all the amenities that’ll make your stay an unforgettable one. The Villa Mistinguette has a magnificent 90 m² living room on the garden level overlooking a beautiful sunny terrace.
On the first floor, accessible by a spiral staircase or elevator, you’ll find a double room bathed in light with its sumptuous bathroom equipped with a shower and a hammam.
To make the space even more exceptional, the room opens onto a private terrace of nearly 100 m² with a breathtaking view of the sea. Equipped with a table and a gazebo, our guests can enjoy this most luxurious and intimate setting with the added bonus of basking in the open-air jacuzzi.

Described as the « Restaurant of Kings » by a food critic, the establishment has been perpetuating its reputation for excellence since 1880.

Julien Roucheteau at the helm of the mythical Restaurant des Rois
After having spent more than 20 years working in Paris with top chefs (from George V with Philippe Legendre to the Lancaster with Michel Troisgros) and having been awarded two stars at the Lancaster in 2015 and the Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2019.
I wanted to join a large, top-notch French company in order to share my expertise, experience and simplicity. La Réserve de Beaulieu was an obvious choice: the setting, the history, the architecture, the design, the notoriety and the Delions.
My goal is to bring out emotions through my cooking. To do this, I use various seasonings along with homemade vinegars, citrus fruits and grilling as well as the influence of our suppliers from the region.
I place great importance upon nature and I like supporting the work of the fishermen, breeders and farmers who offer us exceptional products. We use their products with the highest regard for pleasing our guests.
Each day, we strive to provide all of our guests with a unique experience, and Guillaume, the restaurant’s Director, and team are charged with this. There’s only one word in our profession: ENJOYMENT!
Guillaume Anglade, Restaurant Director
Guillaume Anglade already has an outstanding international career behind him. After graduating from hospitality school, he went to Scotland for four years (Gleneagles Hotel) and then to the United States for two years (Wheatleigh Hotel).
In 2005, he returned to France after a meeting with chef Joël Robuchon, who recruited him as Maitre D’ of the Hotel Métropole in Monte-Carlo. It’s by Joël’s side that Guillaume diversified his professional experiences and regained a taste for travel, going as far as Shanghai and Singapore with him.
In 2012, he decided to come to La Réserve de Beaulieu to join one of the most prestigious establishments on the French Riviera. And it’s here that the hotel’s Maitre D’ found his home: a team made up of talented starred chef Julien Roucheteau and head sommelier, Yoann Vasquez, not to mention the Delions, owners of the establishment.
A perfectionist at heart, Guillaume’s goal is to lead La Réserve de Beaulieu to the height of excellence; he dreams of earning a second star for La Réserve de Beaulieu.
La Table de la Réserve
Bistronomic cuisine on the French Riviera. La Table de la Réserve was conceived in the style of « bistro chic » with its authentic bistro counter which blends beautifully with the light tones of this special setting. The establishment also has a beautiful terrace under the shade of the olive trees.
From the open kitchen, guests can watch our chef creating each of his dishes. He offers light and elegant cuisine whose creativity showcases the local products of small producers.
La Table, in its bistro chic style, offers guests an authentic menu which highlights the richness of Mediterranean cuisine. Through its authenticity along with the freshness of its offerings, La Table de la Réserve was awarded the distinction of the Michelin Plate.
Le Vent Debout
A magnificent setting with a summer ambiance which promotes relaxation and well-being. La Réserve also has a summer restaurant, Le Vent Debout, which, with its sunny terrace next to the hotel’s swimming pool and its splendid ocean view, immerses guests in a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere.
Its name was chosen as a tribute to the ship that provided the link between the cities of Nice and Beaulieu during the 19th century. Adjacent to La Réserve’s swimming pool and looking out over the estate’s private marina, Le Vent Debout welcomes you for a moment of pure relaxation.

Heated seawater pool

Lounging on our deckchairs, guests can enjoy all the comforts needed for spending a delightful afternoon by our 200 m2 heated seawater swimming pool. A little taste of La Dolce Vita and relaxation breezes over the estate under the shade of the umbrellas.

The Spa of la Réserve
