IT’S A FAMILY THING
It all started in 1926. Grandfather Wachtler had just opened a hospitality business in the centre of San Candido, the Post Hotel. It was a popular meeting place for guests from near and far right from the very beginning. A lot has been happened in our Post Hotel over the decades.
It is been handed down from generation to generation, expanded, renovated and improved. Until finally it was completely refurbished in 2014. But what has always remained constant, is the passion we, the Wachtler Family, feel for being hosts.
The fact that the entire family is involved in the Post Dolomiti Resorts is pretty much evidence of this. Andreas and his three sisters – Barbara, Anna and Karoline – are managers. Andreas and his wife Helene run the Post Alpina and Anna, Barbara and Karoline run the Post Hotel.
We also have a great team of staff in place to help us look after our guests. Our parents, Karl and Wilma Wachtler, can always be found in the Post Dolomiti Resorts.
Their eye for the essential, the warmth with which they meet our guests, and their tireless work is worth its weight in gold and truly make our houses what they are: your second home with an unmistakable family charm.
A LOVELY TIME ALL ALONE
I love children! After all, I am a mother myself. Which is how I know exactly how much good travelling without the little ones does for you. All by yourself with a loved one. Or with your best friends. Happily doing whatever you want to do: dining, lying by the pool for hours, visiting the sauna.
Climbing up to the top of the mountain or having a blast on the slopes. Enjoying the romance and feeling how close you can still be. Having great conversations and cementing friendships. With nothing and nobody to disturb these moments.
We want to make moments like this come true in the Post Hotel. For this reason, only children from 14 years of age are welcome to stay with us.

Each room and each suite offers interesting views over the roofs of San Candido/Innichen or the mountains of the Alta Val Pusteria/Hochpustertal region. The rooms and suites are stylishly and tastefully furnished and are your uniquely cosy holiday home for the length of your stay.
SUITE “LA NUVOLA
The name says it all, you fell like being in the clouds in our most luxurious suite, of 70 m² arranged on two floors. It’s the ideal choice for those who want only the best during their holidays, without compromise!
On the ground floor of the suite you will find a large living room and bathroom with separate shower and toilet. Going up the ladder you get to the bedroom. The real high light of this suite is a beautiful bed hanging from the ceiling and a entire paint wall that will give you the impression of being really in the clouds.
In this bedroom, there is also a romantic bathtub, where to forget about everything and everyone for a few hours. In the suite you will find a coffee machine with Illy-coffee. For the Suite “La Nuvola” one parking space in our garage is included in the price.
SUITE “IL SOLE” DELUXE
Our Suite “Il Sole” Deluxe 50 m² of elegance and luxury, offers a separated sleeping area and living room, walk-in closet, desk, a table with chairs, telephone, satellite TV, safe, W -LAN, a coffee machine and a bathroom with a bathtub and a shower. The suite does have a balcony.
SUITE PANORAMA
The Suite Panorama is located on the 4th floor and its unique terrace provides a wonderful view of the Dolomites.
The room is 50 sqm large and accommodates up to 4 people. The furniture style is traditional “Biedermeier”. The amenities also include satellite TV, a telephone, safe, minibar, coffee machine Illy and bathroom with bathtub and integrated shower.
ROOM “LA LUNA”
In the beautiful room “La Luna” (40 m²) overlooking the village square of Innichen you will find a double bed, a closet, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, minibar, telephone, safe, toilet and bathroom with shower. All rooms of this category are equipped with a balcony.
SUPERIOR ROOM
The Superior rooms, which are located on the 4th floor, provide a wonderful view over the roofs of San Candido/Innichen or to the summits of the Dolomites. The room is 35 sqm large, which accommodates up to four people. In these rooms stylish furniture in ‘Biedermeier’ style await you.

Celebrating life! The motto of our bar, the P-lounge, matches the location perfectly. Actually, it is very easy to enjoy life here. The trendy atmosphere is perfect. I love having coffee with my best friend, inviting our guests to an aperitif, sipping a cocktail or two or rounding off the evening with a good glass of wine here.
In particular, I love the various events that we organise in the P-lounge. The laughter of our guests, the clinking of glasses and the perfect choice of music are some of the most beautiful sounds as far as I am concerned.

SKIING
The ski lifts for the Monte Baranci skiing area are very close to our Post Hotel. The Monte Elmo skiing region in the Sesto Dolomites is also easily reached via the ski bus that leaves directly in front of the hotel. The slopes vary in difficulty so it’s great fun for everybody.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
In Alta Val Pusteria, cross-country skiing is as much a part of winter as snow is to the trails. You can join the cross-country skiing paradise of Alta Val Pusteria right from San Candido, it has 200 km of trails with varying levels of difficulty.
TOBOGGANING
Whether with friends or alone with your loved ones, tobogganing on Monte Baranci or Croda Rossa is great fun. Take the lift or walk up to the beginning of the 3 km long toboggan run at Monte Baranci and zoom down either in your own toboggan or a hired one.
