Welcome to your getaway in the unspoiled Algarve, the pristine part of the region. Every Octant is a tribute to its location. They are places where you will find care and attention, peace and freedom, with no time constraints.

As well as rare emotion, in-depth knowledge, and unique encounters and experiences that you will remember forever. Here, between uplands and ocean, we give flavours and traditions the space they need.

Time is marked by the tides in the Ria Formosa and by the life that is preserved there; in a fragile ecosystem that we constantly strive to protect.

In fine Farm House spirit, we seek inspiration in the nearby villages whose origins are lost in the mists of time; or in the slow steps of the people who tend their flocks, observe the orange blossom, and preserve the moment in tales and legends.

We have created a blend of traditional and contemporary, with rooms and a collection of suites that reinterpret the ambience of the Algarve in the architectural features and in the décor that incorporates local handicrafts. The Algarve that welcomes and keeps its memories alive.

With a 330m2 private villa and two first class restaurants, luxury happens simply, because time stops and because care and curatorship go hand-in-hand.

Our services are at your disposal 24 hours a day: in summer, the outdoor pool invites you for a refreshing dip; and, in winter, the adults-only heated pool is all you need to gain a new lease of life.

Do you remember the last time you took a deep breath and found meaning? Maybe on the next dive. This is what it means to be free. It is having the time for what matters, turning it into good memories, and returning to them over and over again.

Villa INDIGO
With ample spaces, terraces, and gardens where you can enjoy the region’s climate. We present Vila Indigo. A private house where everything has been thought out down to the smallest detail. Equipped with three suites, and social spaces which marry contemporary elements with some pieces inspired by local handicrafts.

With vast outdoor space, where you will find a private swimming pool, solarium, balcony, and gardens to roam. Everything you need for unique and exclusive moments. Villa Indigo encapsulates all the charm that Octant Vila Monte has to offer.

Its architecture is inspired by traditional Algarve architecture, with whitewashed walls, wooden trusses, and rustic roof terraces, but with the inclusion of some contemporary elements that increase the functionality and comfort of the spaces. The villa is ideal for families craving that extra privacy.

No details have been spared in the designing of Vila Indigo: from the decor to state-of-the-art technology including IOT (internet of things), enabling guests the automation to control various elements such as blinds, temperature and music all at a touch of a button.

In addition, Villa Indigo also offers a Personal Assistant service, so you won’t lack anything during your stay. This is a space that is truly in harmony with southern Portugal’s traditions, aesthetics, and typically warm welcomes.

From chilling on a deserted beach to the charms of Fuzeta Island, by way of holistic treatments or hosting events in sunny surroundings, in this part of the Algarve peacefulness and attention to detail are part of the experience.

À Terra Restaurant
More than a restaurant, À TERRA is a way of being. Inspired by local nature and a return to our deepest origins, here we cook with our hands and with our heart, honouring what is most genuine in this Algarve that welcomes us.

À TERRA is a restaurant with delicious and healthy home-made country cuisine. It is based on a concept of sharing and continuous service and uses various local ingredients as its base, including: olive oil, flower of salt, figs, carob, oranges, mushrooms, aubergines, tomatoes and coriander.

And its aromas, textures, colours, melodies and stories are the heirs to this comfort kitchen. The wood-fired oven and the Josper are the main actors, where we cook pizzas, bruschetta and various roasts in the oven, prepared in a traditional way.

Bread is one of core items that we bake. Baked in our wood-fired oven, it is available from dawn until late in the day. Additionally, we offer fresh salads, rice with local vegetables and herbs from the herb garden, gratins and a range of other dishes. Everything to share, even dessert — for those with a sweet tooth, make an exception.

Herb Garden
Visit our herb garden, where we plant many of the ingredients we use in our restaurant. Next to the garden you will find our outdoor Chef’s Table, where show cooking and tasting events can happen at any time.

À TERRA Grocery
The grocery sells many of the utensils found in Villa Monte, as well as gourmet products from the region. Take some of your experience home with you to share with others.

LOBBY Bar
Enjoy the delicious drinks and cocktails prepared by our bartenders, while relaxing by the fire pit or cool off after a hot day on the terrace.

Laranjal Restaurant
Here we tell stories about this place, about the Algarve and about the Ria that the ancient people decided to call formosa (beautiful) for obvious reasons. The Chef Marco Alban uses your plate as a blank page, the kitchenware as pencils and pens and the ingredients as natural dyes.

He writes stories, describing the saltiness of this land, the breeze that travelled from somewhere until it hits us, the colour of the oranges, the dance of the octopus, the patience of the oysters in the sunshine on a sandbank between two ocean inlets.

And he writes about the local people, about their hands, wet from pulling in the fishing nets, their skin tanned by the sun as they harvest the earth’s bounty.

And then along came Miguel Mota, who read the stories and wrote the music for those lyrics, with notes of dust, of ripe or dried fruits; and of smoke. Some warmer and some fresher; read these stories and take them home with you, in your MEMORIES.

When you enter the Laranjal Restaurant you embark on a journey through the traditions of the Algarve and, simultaneously, through all your senses. You must walk along a corridor created by the orange trees, which give it its name, to get here.

On the way you feel the hot breeze and are immersed in the fragrance that emanates from the trees. With this as your introduction you will soon feel yourself getting carried away.

Strolling through archways, you enter the restaurant. A building with a tall, imposing ceiling. A tiled floor, its coolness contrasting with southern heat. White walls that are synonymous of the Algarve, similar to those we also find in the Mediterranean countries and North Africa.

Wickerwork chandeliers and huge amphorae, reminding us that we are in a territory that serves as a border between sea and land. A unit with shelves along one wall is replete with items of local handicrafts, such as pottery and wickerwork.

Baskets full of oranges, lemons and other seasonal fruits. Vases with aromatic herbs that grow on this land that is called Vila Monte. Outside, a terrace facing the Algarve coast, where you can sit and feel the gentle pleasure of time passing at it’s own pace.

Breakfast
And it is here, in this south-facing building, that you can enjoy your breakfast every morning, savouring an array of local and international flavours. The variety is sure to whet your appetite.

Wedding
This is the opportunity to celebrate such a special day between the mountains and the estuary, in a space that is both contemporary and inviting. The perfect combination of a breathtaking landscape and unique architecture.

Talk to our team and discover all the possibilities of spaces inside the hotel, so that this is the moment you dreamed of. We can also help you find the best partners for this special day.

At Octant Vila Monte you will find spaces with unique atmospheres and each one with its own personality. The ceremony can be held in our gardens, on the Laranjal balcony or in other spaces. For exclusive weddings, you can choose which of these locations to use.

Experiences
Here, time is whatever you want it to be. So why not take the opportunity to embrace experiences and activities you have never tried before? Do something new and different; make memories. As a couple or a family, we all have something to discover here.

Re-encounter with the SEA
Explore Fuzeta Island on an exclusive boat trip or discover the Ria Formosa on a special picnic. Plunge into the plenitude of a deserted beach or cast off on a sailing expedition. Whatever your choice, the sea will look after you.

Re-encounter with the LAND
In one of the most traditional areas of the country for pottery, why not try a masterclass in traditional pottery with master potter Francisco Eugénio?

Whether you opt for a hands-on experience or a guided tour to see the regional salt production or distillery, the splendour of these lands in the Eastern Algarve is sure to make its mark.
