Masseria Montelauro Otranto

Masseria Montelauro was originally a traditional farmhouse, built in 1878. The striking light and local colours are reflected in the design, which has retained the ancient stone walls and attractive old olive trees.

Montelauro’s guests can soak up the the warm atmosphere of Salento here. In the restaurant typical dishes of the region are offered, many using produce grown in the hotel’s vegetable garden. Alternatively they can sip a glass of Negromaro wine beside the swimming pool, surrounded by an orchard – or relax in the small spa.

The Masseria has a central courtyard, typical of such regional architecture, now converted into a tranquil garden. A swimming pool fits here naturally, preserving the special ambience. Twenty nine rooms overlook either the courtyard or face the surrounding countryside.

Suites, superior or junior, or classic en suite rooms are available. Many have the typical local vaulted stone ceilings which give a warm atmosphere. Most have private entrance to the garden areas ; décor is simple and elegant.

All rooms are equipped with every comfort – air conditioning, telephone, minibar, hairdryer, safe and satellite TV. Pool towels are available on request. Wi-fi service is accessible in the communal areas , both internal and external.
