WALKING ALONG ANCIENT PATHS
Forget the car, put on a pair of walking boots and make your way along the spectacular footpaths on the Amalfi Coast. Ancient mule tracks and precipitous cliff edge paths which, until the SS163 was built, were the only viable routes existing between the towns dotted along theAmalfi Coast.

Walk through sweet smelling lemon orchards and tiny vegetable patches stolen from the mountainside, under the watchful gaze of the occasional goat or donkey, past ancient hermitages and convents to reach panoramas which will, quite literally, take your breath away. Those who suffer from vertigo are advised to abstain!

IL SENTIERO DEGLI DEI
A walk made in heaven, this panoramic footpath between Agerola and Positano is one of the most spectacular on the whole of the Amalfi Coast. Duration: about 3 hrs. Kilometers: 7,8 km. Difficulty: easy.

LERANTO BAY
Walking across waves of rock, amidst shimmering, silver-leafed olive trees and bushes of brilliant yellow broom, to reach the paradisiacal little beach opposite the Faraglioni of Capri. Duration: circa 4 hours. Kilometers: 6. Difficulty: medium

PUNTA CAMPANELLA
An expedition to the furthest point of the Amalfi Coast and the Minerva Sanctuary, where, legend has it, Ulysses was seduced by the Sirens. Duration: 2hrs. Kilometers: 4. Difficulty: easy

GROTTA DELLO SMERALDO
Time for a few seconds and for you time will have value no longer … and even the color, and the concept we commonly have of it at least. La Grotta is the temple, the splendor, an embroidery of light along the millennia, the sea plays in it the most sublime shades: cobalt blue turns turquoise … turquoise turns green … emerald green … it envelops everything …

The inside is very similar to a magnificent oriental temple, full of columns, stalactites and curtains bizarre shapes, to which popular imagination has assigned the most curious names and the boldest combinations.

THE SARACEN TOWERS
A holiday in Positano cannot include a visit to the many towers used in the past for the sighting of the Saracens. The first one is located in the nearby village of Punta Campanella, a borderland between the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento Peninsula.

In the past, thence signals were sent to nearby towers in order to give the alert to defend from invaders. Today the Saracen towers nearby Positano are the perfect places from which to enjoy the enchanting scenery of the Amalfi Coast with its steep cliffs and the little villages overlooking the sea.
