THE VIBRANT NEIGHBORHOOD
The Orania.Berlin is directly located in the centre of Kreuzberg at Oranienplatz. As anyone from the neighbourhood will tell you, this district is the most exiting in Berlin. Kreuzberg has long been famed for its cultural diversity as well as its experimental & alternative lifestyles attracting especially young people from around the world.

The borough is a stage and home for creativity – not only when it comes to music. Here, artists create free spaces for their work not only in the numerous ateliers but also on the streets and in backyards, which you can admire on Street Art Tour. Kreuzberg also has more mainstream offerings

You can find some of Berlin’s most outstanding museums, including the Berlinische Galerie, showing art from 1870 to the present day, the Gropius Bau with temporary exhibitions, the Jewish Museum and the German Museum of Technology.

Or you can spend an exciting evening of contemporary dance, theatre and performance at one of the three Houses of the Hebbel am Ufer stages. The neighbourhood also houses the English Theatre Berlin, the city’s only English-language theatre.

If you prefer things a little bit more casual, especially in the summer season, there is a great number of open-air cinemas and events just around the corner. Kreuzberg is also famous for its street fairs like MyFest and Carnival of Cultures.

Creative energy and space is shared and used together. For example in Berlin’s start-up scene, which is buzzing around Moritzplatz or for urban gardening in the Prinzessinnengärten. Or in Markthalle Neun where great street food outlets come together on a Thursday evening – your taste buds will just love it!

In general there is a lot of culinary to discover in Kreuzberg, of course besides the wonderful Orania.Restaurant and Orania.Bar. On the one hand you can have an exclusive dinner in Michelin star-rated like Nobelhart und Schmutzig, on the other hand you can have the iconic Currywurst at the legendary Curry36 food stall.

There are also a lot of opportunities for a drink after dinner, just like the Würgeengel bar around the corner. And if you want, you also can go for a little dance in one of the clubs anytime – because Kreuzberg never sleeps!

If you need space to breath, the Görlitzer Park, the Viktoriapark and the Park at Gleisdreieck are just close by. Grab a blanket, some cool drinks and enjoy the sun on one of the large, relaxing lawns as everyone does in Kreuzberg during the summer season.

Or you stroll to the river Spree and the Landwehr Canal, which are just a few walking minutes away from the hotel and watch kayaks and canoes, rubber dinghies and stand-up paddleboards gliding by. Kreuzberg is more than just adrenalin and nightlife – and it’s well worth slowing the space to discover the borough’s more relaxed sides.
